Mary-Liz McDonald is an Emmy Award-winning producer with over 15 years of experience as a senior cable and digital media executive. She has overseen the development, production and acquisition of all forms of content including digital, branded, movies, documentaries, non-scripted series, talk, and news. As comfortable behind the desk as she is behind the camera, “M-L” is well known for her many successful talent collaborations including Jay Z, Barbra Streisand, and Donny Deutsch, to name a few. Mary-Liz began her career as a creative executive at HBO, as part of the storied HBO NYC Films division; and next, spent several years overseeing development and production for Barbra Streisand’s Barwood Films. From there, she held senior positions at Hallmark Entertainment and Showtime Networks, where she oversaw large slates of critically acclaimed and award-winning movies and documentaries. In 2005, M-L made her first official foray into digital media, heading up Cablevision’s premium VOD channels, MagRack and Sportskool. After overseeing a successful re-brand and ultimate sale of these two channels, she was bitten by the digital and branded content bug…and she hasn’t looked back since.
